Our mission

In a world dominated by mass production and growth-orientation, I am at the other end of the chain with Bretta-Manufaktur and am creating new awareness for handmade chopping boards, far away from the throwaway society and the like. Bretta-Manufaktur stands for unusual design and uniqueness. Each piece of wood is traditionally planed by hand, glued and then sanded and oiled. I only use regional or recycled wood for my stylish boards. For the sake of the environment, I deliberately avoid imported wood and long supply chains. In the end, I know exactly where the tree or piece of wood from which your board is made comes from!

For me, great, environmentally friendly products take centre stage.

Our values

Our values are the inspiration for our daily work. Every piece of wood is unique and a gift of nature. With this respect for wood as a material, I go to work every day and use it to make wonderful sustainable chopping boards and decorative items. This is reflected in my products.

Passion: If it doesn't feel like work, it's passion!

Sustainability: I only use wood from sustainable forestry, tropical wood comes exclusively from recycled furniture.
